Hours of Operation:
Before School Care: 7am to 8:35am (Mon - Fri, excluding public holidays)
After School Care: 3:30pm to 6pm (Mon - Fri, excluding public holidays)
Vacation Care: 7:30am to 6pm (Mon - Fri, excluding public holidays)
Pupil Free Days: 7:30am to 6pm (only if minimum of 30 children are booked to attend)
1. Before School Care (BSC):
There is a total of 30 places available for BSC. Permanent bookings can be specified on your child's Enrolment Form or at any time using a 'Changes to Bookings' form (available from the red desk in the Campus 2 Hall). Casual (or once-off) bookings should be made up to 6pm on the preceding day to ensure that we have a space available for your child(ren). O.S.C.A.R.S. cannot guarantee booking requests will be fulfilled, due to the demand for places in BSC. Children without a booking will be refused care once total numbers reach 30 children. (See also Priority of Access Guidelines Policy).
All children attending BSC must be signed in by their parent/care-giver. Children are NOT permitted to sign themselves in. At 8:35am, children will be signed out by a Qualified staff member. A staff member will walk to Campus 1 with the children who have classrooms on that campus, and Receptions are always escorted to their classrooms.
Cancellations must be made at least on the day before the booking, or the session fee will still be charged. If you have booked your child into BSC but do not attend at the last minute, you must still inform O.S.C.A.R.S. that your child(ren) will not be attending. O.S.C.A.R.S. staff are required to follow up on all absences with a phone call to the child's parent(s), and this incurs a $5 Non-Notification of Cancellation Fee in addition to the session fee. 2. After School Care (ASC):
There is a total of 60 places available for ASC. Casual (or once-off) bookings can be made up to 3.20pm on the day. O.S.C.A.R.S. cannot guarantee booking requests will be fulfilled, due to the demand for places in ASC. Children without a booking will be refused care when numbers reach 60 children (see also Priority of Access Guidelines Policy). Permanent bookings apply for the whole term, and can carried over to the next term if specified by the parent.

Children from Campus 1 meet a staff member at the 'butterfly shed' where they are signed in. Receptions are collected directly from their classrooms by another staff member, who will then walk the Receptions to the 'butterfly shed'. Once all Campus 1 children have arrived and are signed in, the group walk over to the Campus 2 Hall together. Children from Campus 2 go directly to the Campus 2 Hall, where other O.S.C.A.R.S. staff are waiting.
After School Care begins with 'Circle Time' (led by the Director/Assistant Director, or another Qualified staff member). This is when the role is called and children are informed of the afternoon's programmed activities (see 'Programming' link). Following this, children wash their hands and eat their afternoon tea (see 'Nutrition, Health & Safety' link for information on our menus).
If a child has not arrived at ASC, staff will telephone the child's parents and other emergency contacts to ensure that the child is safe. As previously mentioned, this incurs a $5 Non-Notification of Cancellation Fee in addition to the session fee.
All children will be collected and signed out by their parent/care-giver. When completing an Enrolment Form for your child(ren), you will be required to specify people who are authorised to collect your child. Unknown persons who have collection authority are required to present photo identification to a Qualified staff member upon collection of a child.
